Welcome to my Lake2Lake Page
This September I will once again be undertaking the daunting task of riding 200km on my bike through the North Okanagan/Shuswap area — all for a great cause. I’ll be taking part in the Lake2Lake Ride for Rwanda to support The Wellspring Foundation for Education. This year I will be riding solo but with the world's best team behind me! Much like the support vehicles that follow Tour de France riders around; Dor'Ann, Adrian, Talia and Eve will be volunteering along the route to ensure the ride is as successful as always. As in past years, I could not do this ride without their support.
Thanks to Wellspring, more than 90,000 Rwandan children are currently seeing their school communities transformed and being given opportunities that would previously have been denied them. And together, we can help this to become a reality for even more children!
Would you be willing to sponsor me for this excellent cause, in the faithful belief that I will make it to the finish line in one piece? It only takes $55 to support Wellspring's work in one classroom (of over 70 students) for one month, and so every dollar really does make a difference. Here are a few more examples of how your donation can make a difference:
Here are a few examples of how your donation will make a difference
$30 = Half classroom (35+ students) for 1 month / $360 = full year
$55 = Full classroom (70+ students) for 1 month / $660 = full year
$1,400 = Entire school (1,400+ students) for 1 month / $16,800 = full year
It’s really simple to donate. Simply click the link to my donation page below and follow the directions. Donations over $20 are tax receiptable. In making a donation, you will be playing a part in seeing the lives of thousands of young Rwandans transformed … and you will be spurring me on to keep pedalling!
